Torako is credited with the film's original work. Tatsuya Ishihara is returning to direct the film at Kyoto Animation. Jukki Hanada is also returning to write the script, and Kazumi Ikeda is returning to design the characters.Nijine is also returning to compose the music. Shochiku is distributing the film.
